4/20 - Bastille (Monday)

We arrived at our apartment at the Citidines near the Bastille monument around 3pm.  It was a quiet place to stay and we had a view of a beautiful blooming tree - one benefit of travelling in the spring.  We had a one bedroom, with a hideaway in the living room/kitchen.  Surprisingly, the hideaway was totally comfortable.  The kitchen was adequately stocked with barbie-sized appliances. We walked to the Seine River, had dinner at a brasserie (lox - yum!), and had to get a taxi back to the apartment - jet lag won.  So far, the interactions with the French people were positive.
